 | Lot #135 Fred Blau POLAND Flight Covers 1938 (22 July) accident mail, cover (mostly burned, enclosed in cellophane), addressed to Tel Aviv, with 29 July arrival postmarks, carried by LOT, Lockheed L-14H Super Electra Airplane from Warszawa-Cernauti-Bucharest-Athens-Tel Aviv. Shortly after take-off from Cernauti, the plane exploded and crashed near Compulung (Romania), the crew and 10 passengers (among them two American physicians) were killed.
