 | Lot #712 JAPAN Fukuoka POW Camp in Japan 1915-18 collection of 126+ covers or cards from Fukuoka POW Camp in Japan, some incoming mail, different destinations and excellent showing of censor marks, mostly well described on pages, plus others purchased individually at auction, many still with the original descriptions, Camp stationery lettersheets (rare), cards, receipt for mail and parcels, cover addressed to German Minister of the Navy (Admiral von Capelle), preprinted greetings cards, Money orders, parts of parcel wrappers, etc. An incredible holding, with many unique items, ex-Rungas, etc. (Fukuoka POW Camp was situated at the north of Kyushu and opened on the 11th November 1914. There were two subcamps, one for 25 senior officers, including the former Governor of Tsingtao, plus 40 orderlies, the other for enlisted men. The camp used Japanese seals in various colors on incoming and outgoing mail)
