           | Lot #4392 ISRAEL - HOLYLAND Ottoman Empire 1900-17 selection of 20 covers and cards on exhibit pages, with Jaffa and district markings, "Aloun-Cara" (Rishon le Zion), Petah-Tikvah, Rehoboth, "Led" (Ramle), "Remle", military mail from FPO 53 and FPO 61 (between Jaffa and Jerusalem), all-Arabic "Beersheba" cancel on cover sent by an officer to Istanbul, round negative seal of the unit marking (Cavalry 2nd machine Gum HQ) (stated to be one of only three examples recorded), Gaza to Jaffa cover, another with unusual marking on card to Turkey, money order from Hafir (one of only a few examples recorded on commercial mail), stationery card from "Khan-Younesse" to Rosh-Pinna near Saffed, different markings of Haifa, including a card to the German Post office in Constantinople, another with bilingual "Caiffa", also stamps on pieces showing pmks of "Beni-Saab", "Djenine", "Zamarin", inbound cover from Beirut to 16th Division Fieldpost Office (near Nablus), plus others.
