| Lot #4533 Berg Republic 1922 (31 Aug) registered "Dr.M.Brender" cover to Berlin, franked on back with 5k lilac single and two blocks of four, paying 45k rate, tied by Vladikavkaz departure cds, Moscow transit (7.IX.22) pmks, filing fold, partially through the stamps, fine early usage from Vladikavkaz, with provisional Berg Republic Star handstamps, signed Ursul (Vladikavkaz is one of the largest cities in the Russian Caucasus, along with Grozny, and was the capital of the Mountain Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, which comprised most of today's Chechnya, North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria)
