No.330 pmk, fine and rare (because of the Arab uprising against the Turks in Hejaz, Yemen was not considered to be important enough to warrant attention of the Allies during the war. However, in 1919-20, a small contingent of Indian troops was there pending the selection of the new ruler)

| Lot #4353 BRITISH COMMONWEALTH ADEN Military Mail 1920 (15 Oct) large envelope endorsed "OFS" (On Field Service), addressed to London, with "FPO 324" dated pmk and violet "Orderly Room Yemen Infantry" hs alongside, filing folds and toning, otherwise fine. This is probably the only recorded military mail from the 1st Yemen Infantry (likely in Sanaa, which did not have its own field post office), sent through FPO 324, located at Sheikh Othman in the Aden Protectorate
