ALLIED INTERVENTION IN RUSSIA - SIBERIA Chinese forces in Siberia
1918 (4 Nov) native cover from Nikolsk Ussuriysk, sent via Harbin to Peking, franked with Russia 15k red brown & blue, perf. pair, tied by double ring departure cds, with red handstamp indicating "Chinese Army, 3rd Company, 3rd Regiment, 9th Division", directional tape on reverse "Harbin, Chinese Postal Service", with Peking arrival pmk. fine. (Russian General Dmitry Leonidovich Horvat invited Chinese troops into the Russian-controlled areas of Manchuria to secure the Chinese Eastern Railway against the Bolshevik forces. No Chinese field post offices were established, so mail was sent through the Russian civil postal service. Personal mail required stamps, while some official mail was sent free). This cover is one of only seven (!) recorded examples of mail to/from Chinese Intervention forces

ALLIED INTERVENTION IN RUSSIA - SIBERIA Chinese forces in Siberia
1919 (18 Sep) cover (opened for display) franked with 50k lilac & brown, tied by "Iman Prim." departure pmk and sent to Nanyuan, China. Red handstamp is the unit marking of the 1st Battalion, 33rd Regiment, 9th Division of the Chinese Army. The cover was sent to the base office of the 9th Division Army Service Supply Company in Nanyuan, probably a requisition for provisions, with Harbin transit markings, also bold bilingual "Nanyuan" and Peking arrival pmks, fine and incredibly rare cover (Iman is located on the left bank of the Bolshaya Ussurka River, about three miles from the Chinese border. Nanyuan was a township and area situated on the eastern side of Fengtai District, Beijing)

1919 two native covers, one official registered mail sent unfranked from the 9th Division Commissariat Administration in Harbin to the unit Commissariat in Nikolsk Ussuriysk, Registry label mostly missing, handstamped "Zakaznoye" alongside, with departure (4.3.19) and arrival (5.3.19) markings. The second cover is franked with strip of 3x20k dark blue & red, tied by Khabarovsk (11 Apr) departure pmks, addressed to the Chinese Army Headquarters in Nikolsk Ussuriysk
