1931 (28 July) New York to Istanbul flight "American Legion Convention International Flight" card, Boston departure and Istanbul 30.7.1931 arrival. Also a cover (some tears) from Russelll Boardman, sent Oct 2, 1931 to John Risetto, fine (for being the first Eastward Transatlantic flyers since Lindbergh to reach their destination nonstop, President Mustafa Kemal Pasha of Turkey awarded special achievement medals to Pilots Boardman & Polando (AAMC TO 1145a)
