Iran - covers & postal history
1921 (25 May) Parcel Post receipt, franked with a horizontal pair of "1921 Coup d'etat" overprints, used with Ahmad Shah adhesives, with seal of Teheran Municipality "Baladieh Teheran", fine and rare, signed Dr. Dadkhah (in May 1921, in order to commemorate the Coup d'etat of 21st February, Moshir Moazzam, the Minister of Posts and Telegraphs agreed to a special overprint on a certain number of remainders of the 1914 Coronation stamps. However, upon his return from Europe, Camille Molitor, Director-General of Post declared the action "illegal" and ordered the destruction of the entire stock of stamps with this overprint)
