1872 (11 Dec) FL datelined "Papantla" and addressed to Bordeaux, franked with imperf. 12c blue Hidalgo, almost completely covered by the horizontal strip of 6x25c Ceres, additional pair alongside, canceled by Anchor, framed "PD" and "Mexique" 24 Dec. 72 below, with octagonal maritime "Vera-Cruz Paq. Fr.B No.2" pmk on back, overall aging, with signs of erasures from the address panel, nevertheless a rare double weight mixed franking letter from Vera Cruz
