1898 (Aug) cover from Pavlovsk, via Odessa to Talienwan, addressed to a Russian Naval ship "Navarin", routed via Brindisi, with "Obezzarazheno" (Disinfected) handstamp, "Sea Post Office" (Aug 21) pmks on back, cover roughly opened at left, otherwise fine (Talienwan, is a bay on the southeast side of the Liaodong Peninsula of Northeast China. Russia coerced a lease of the bay from China in 1898 along with Port Arthur, from which it is 40 miles away. The lease was transferred to Japan in 1905 following the Russo-Japanese War)
