ISRAEL - HOLYLAND German Offices in the Holyland
1910 (31 Dec) German Levant 20pa on 10pf stationery card with "Aus Sarona bei Jaffa Deutsche Post" handstamp, sent via the German Post Office in Jaffa to Wurttemberg, datelined "Walhalla 30.12.1910", fine and uncommon family correspondence, with 2000 Muentz certificate, ex-Cihangir collection (Sarona is today a neighborhood of Tel Aviv. It started as a German Templar colony in 1871 and was one of the earliest modern villages established by Europeans in the Holyland)
