GREAT BRITAIN British Offices Abroad - Nicaragua
1879 cover franked with perforated 10c vermilion and rouletted 2x25c green, canceled by target strikes, with violet "Correos Nicaragua" July 7, 1789 departure pmk, sent through the British Post Office, where 2p dark blue and 6p gray were added to pay for further transmission to New York, both stamps canceled by indistinct "Greytown" pmks, "Colon A Jy 18 79 Transit", arrival New York (Aug 1) and "Due 10 Cents" collected from the ship captain, indistinct marking on reverse, some hinge toning across the backflap, not at all affecting the appearance of this colorful mixed franking combination, signed Diena
