1864 (8 June) small cover (with letter) from Paris to Hannover, franked with 10c and 40c Empire perforated, tied by Paris star departure markings, addressed to the French Ambassador to Hannover, with single 1gr rose rouletted sheet margin single (faulty) placed over the French stamps and tied by blue Hannover 10.6. cds, redirected to Oeynhausen, red "Franco Aachen" and transit and arrival pmks on back (Gustave Armand Henri, Comte de Reiset, was a French diplomat, writer and art collector. He served as an ambassador to the Kingdom of Hannover from 1863)

1866 (30 Aug) small cover from Delle to Hannover, franked with 10c and 40c Empire perforated, tied by "1287" large numerals, addressed to the French Ambassador to Hannover, with 2x2gr and single 1/2gr local franking (folded over the top of the envelope, some faults) added on 8.9.66 for further transmission back to France, with "Prusse Forbach" (9 Sep) entry pmk, red "P.D." and "Franco" handstamps, Paris a Cherbourg and arrival (16 Sep) pmks on back, fine and impressive redirected mail from Paris to Hannover and back to France (Gustave Armand Henri, Comte de Reiset, was a French diplomat, writer and art collector.
