The May 7-8, 2024 Sale of Rare Stamps and Postal History of the World will take place at our Teaneck, N.J. Galleries, via CherrystoneLIVE. There are 1,562 lots, offered in four sessions, beginning with United States, followed by a diverse worldwide holding formed by Dikran Taner. There are solid sections of Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Italian States, Switzerland, Turkey, as well as British Commonwealth, featuring John Pedneault's postal history of Ireland, extensive Bermuda, British Africa and various individual rarities. In addition, there are selections of China, with Red Revenues, numerous Flight and Zeppelin covers, rare booklets and more. Finally, the last session is highlighted by Large Lots and Collections, with 184 lots ranging from single country albums, specialized holdings, multi-carton worldwide groups and large cover lots offered intact.

United States 1917-29 Issues
1923 1c green, Rotary, perf. 11, used, exceptionally well centered for this notoriously off center stamp (Scott catalogue value is for examples with perforations touching the design), nice color, a wonderful opportunity to acquire one of the finest of the approximately 110 used copies (Siegel census of Scott 594 records 112 used stamps, many with perforations cutting in on one or more sides, or with faults), ex-Klein, Zoellner and Gorham, with 1975, 1998 and 2022 PFCs, the latter graded "XF 90" (SMQ $90,000)
