The May 7-8, 2024 Sale of Rare Stamps and Postal History of the World will take place at our Teaneck, N.J. Galleries, via CherrystoneLIVE. There are 1,562 lots, offered in four sessions, beginning with United States, followed by a diverse worldwide holding formed by Dikran Taner. There are solid sections of Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Italian States, Switzerland, Turkey, as well as British Commonwealth, featuring John Pedneault's postal history of Ireland, extensive Bermuda, British Africa and various individual rarities. In addition, there are selections of China, with Red Revenues, numerous Flight and Zeppelin covers, rare booklets and more. Finally, the last session is highlighted by Large Lots and Collections, with 184 lots ranging from single country albums, specialized holdings, multi-carton worldwide groups and large cover lots offered intact.

1852 5c light blue, 15c orange, used together with horizontal pair of 10c red brown on outer FL from Amsterdam (16.9.1859) to Madrid, stamps with ample margins to touching in places, tied by departure cds, with "P.P." handstamped alongside, red Paris 17 Sep 1859 transit and blue "4R" due marking applied on arrival. A rarity, with 2001 NVPH and 2016 Heng Vleeming certificates, the latter stating "tricolor franking to Spain is extremely rare, this is the only one known to me", ex-Van Dieten (Sep 2001)
