We begin with a nice selection of 19th and early 20th Century United States. European Countries include Austria, Germany and Colonies, Italy and Colonies, Luxembourg, Norway, Iceland, Portugal and Colonies, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. There are many rare and seldom offered classics. Most of the individual lots are accompanied by certificates as well as excellent and comprehensive balances offered intact, with Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, and many others. 1861-1969 collection virtually complete on Scott album pages (Lighthouse pages from 1943 on), extensive Large Hermes Heads, mostly correctly identified, Paris Printing, Athens Printings, with and without Figures on back, Cleaned Plates, Thin and Thick paper, some signed Holcombe, etc., well above average condition, huge catalogue value, Small Hermes Heads, with and without surcharges, many with Vlastos certificates, 1896 and 1906 Olympics, surcharges on the Olympics Issue, 1923 overprints (missing 276A), 1933 Youth of Marathon set of three (n.h.), later Commemorative sets, Air Post, Postage Dues, Postal Tax stamps, Occupation issues, etc., mixed condition with occasional missing gum or small faults among the classic issues, mostly fine-v.f.
