We begin with a nice selection of 19th and early 20th Century United States. European Countries include Austria, Germany and Colonies, Italy and Colonies, Luxembourg, Norway, Iceland, Portugal and Colonies, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. There are many rare and seldom offered classics. Most of the individual lots are accompanied by certificates as well as excellent and comprehensive balances offered intact, with Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, and many others. 1930 50c on 36c olive green "Columbia", perfectly centered, pencil signed, h.r., v.f., signed Sanabria, with 2001 Philatelic Foundation certificate (300 copies of the 36c Caribou were overprinted, 160 were sold at the GPO in St. John's, 48 were sent to Harbour Grace Post Office, remaining 92 were sold to "select personalities". Only 100 were actually used: 65 from St. John's and 35 from Harbour Grace)
