1948 (19 Nov) native cover from Fengtai, Anwhei Province, paying 10c domestic letter rate to Shanghai, with a specially prepared violet label to be used as a stamp, with departure pmks and arrival on back. Mail delivery was very difficult due to increasing Civil War activities and took 9 days to get to Shanghai, about 300 miles away, fine and scarce
