Our November 7-8, 2023 Sale of Rare Stamps and Postal History of the World will take place at our Teaneck, N.J. Galleries and over the internet via CherrystoneLIVE and StampAuctionNetwork (SAN). The 1,211 lots sale begins with United States and U.S. Possessions. Worldwide sections include a solid collection of Germany and German Colonies, with many individual rarities. British Commonwealth features British Guiana "Cotton Reels" with an unused 12c black, making its first appearance on the market since the 1935 Hind sale; G.R.I. errors and varieties, strong Bushire, specialized Malaysian States and much more. There are strong selections from various European Countries and rest of the world, with additional items from the Carl A. Kilgas and Martin Stempien estates. The auction concludes with 250 Large Lots and Collections, ranging from single country albums, specialized collections, multi-carton worldwide groups and large cover lots offered intact. 1849-2019 large collection in 22 albums (mostly SAFE), with strong selection of used imperforate 19th Century, Ceres and Napoleon, better items, perforated issues to 5fr, Type Sage, Merson to 10fr including unused 2fr, better 1920s-30s singles to 20fr, Semi-Postals, Air Post (C1-2 l.h., C15 used), post-WWII apparently complete to 1999, then special souvenir sheets and booklets from 2015-2019, including "Tresors de la Philatelie", 30+ sheetlets, Gardens and Roofs of Paris, plus many others (high face value), also dozens of Regular Issues and Semi-Postals booklets, duplication noted, some FDCs and Maximum cards, Paintings, also good showing of Postage Dues, Officials and back of book items, mixed condition, some forgeries noted, high catalogue value
