FRANCE Crimean War
1854 (10 July) registered cover to Lyon, paying soldier's concessionary rate of 20 centimes, plus 20c registration, franked with pair of 25c imperf. Empire (paying 50c old rate, overpaying 10c due to recently reduced tariff of 1.7.1854), ample margins to cut in at top, other faults, canceled by "AOA" lozenge, with "Armee d'Orient/Bau.A" (Bulgaria) departure cds at top, straight-line "Charge" in red, Marseille (25 July) and Lyon arrival pmks on back. Registered military mail is of great scarcity, ex-Piat, with 1997 Behr and Greg Todd 2015 certificates
