RUSSIA Sakhalin
1888 (16 Dec) 14k stationery entire envelope (opened for display), registered from "Aleksandrovsk De Kastri" to St. Petersburg (23.2.89), filing folds, fine cover with clear margins. De Kastri is on the Pacific Coast opposite Sakhalin Island. This is the earliest recorded mail from De Kastri, where postal operations began in 1887 (illustrated in Rossica Journal 122)
