From Asia there are selections of China, Laos and Vietnam. South American countries are also well represented, with a good showing of Inverted Centers from all parts of the globe. 1928 (17 Feb) Bert Hinkler Great Britain to Australia, Calcutta-Rangoon leg, postal card franked with 1/2a George V, tied by "Park Street, Calcutta, 17 Feb. 28" cds, with "From Calcutta by Bert Hinkler" and A Postal Memento of Notable Flights Through India / British Flight" cachet at left, Rangoon arrival datestamp alongside, dated 16/2 and signed by Stephen Smith "carried by Bert Hinkler from Calcutta to Rangoon" on back, fine and rare card, only 50 carried (Hinkler achieved his record breaking flight in 16 days, for which he was awarded £2,000 by the Australian Government and £500 by the Queensland Government)
