1928 (14 May) Doisy & Carol Paris to Hanoi Flight, Calcutta-Rangoon leg, cover franked with 4x3a George V, tied by Calcutta May 14, 1928 cds, with "From Calcutta By Air" label, overprinted in red "Plane Crashed at Akyab,16th May 1928" at right, French consulate handstamp, also "Doisy and Carol" overprints, with additional French consulate handstamp on back, v.f. Only 44 cards (and 77 covers) were carried on this flight which was intended to go to Hanoi but the plane crashed and was severely damaged in Akyab
