BRITISH COMMONWEALTH INDIA Flight Covers
1927 (1 July) 2nd Demonstration Flight by a "Moth", cover and postal card, each with red descriptive cachet ("this letter was carried over the city of Calcutta and its environs by the famous D.H. "G-E.B.M.O., the diminutive aeroplane which won the King's Cup in 1926, and made the historic flight from London to Delhi in 1926-27") the former franked with 1a George V, canceled Calcutta, with a Moth cachet and initialed by W.H Vetch (the pilot), the latter franked with 1/2a George V, with red descriptive cachet and Moth in violet, initiated by E.L Widdicombe, signed on back by Stephen Smith, hinge remnants on back, v.f., accompanied by two small photographs of the airplane, 276 covers and 49 cards carried
