Welcome to our July 12-14, 2022 Sale of Rare Stamps and Postal History of the World, which will take place at our Teaneck, N.J. Galleries and over the internet via CherrystoneLIVE and StampAuctionNetwork (SAN). This 1,713-lot sale features United States and Possessions, with 19th & 20th Century single rarities, 1869 Inverted Centers, Special Printings, graded items, Plate Blocks and back of the book material. Foreign countries include Austria, China, Egypt, France and Colonies, Germany with a selection of WWII Occupation Issues, as well as WWI covers from POW Camps, including Japan. Great Britain and British Commonwealth feature high values from Australia, BNA and British Africa. There are rarities from Iran, including postal history, Italy and Italian Colonies, Nepal, Netherlands and Colonies, Panama, Russia and other collecting areas. The auction concludes with over two hundred Large Lots and Collections, ranging from single country albums, specialized collections to multi-carton worldwide groups and large cover lots offered intact.

1856-2017 collection in 15 large Scott albums, issues mostly complete, Hidalgo and Maximilian used or unused, some duplication with additional cancels, shades, etc., few MEPSI certificates; 1872 issues, large group of mostly used imperfs and pin-perf. singles, generally unused from there, with additional shades and cancels, 1895 issue to 10p (242-56), plus additional shades and cancels, 1914 Transitorios, imperf. pairs, some Revolutionary overprints, many better items, few certificates, additional items, multiples, University set (698-706 n.h.), commemoratives in blocks of four, extensive Air Post with perf. and imperf. singles and sets, better items include 1933 University set (three top values n.h., with Diena certificate), 1935 Amelia Earhart overprinted "Muestra" (also a used forgery), 1936 Eagle Man (Secretaria de Hacienda watermark) n.h., but with a paper clip indentation and slight rust on back, 1939 Sarabia, Air Post Officials (CO21 MEPSI certificate), 1940 Centenary singles and blocks of four, later issues collected unused, blocks of four, varieties, cacheted FDCs, maximum cards, occasional sheets, also "Exporta" issues, year sets, etc., fine-v.f., huge catalogue value
