Galleries and over the internet via CherrystoneLIVE and StampAuctionNetwork (SAN). This 1,713-lot sale features United States and Possessions, with 19th & 20th Century single rarities, 1869 Inverted Centers, Special Printings, graded items, Plate Blocks and back of the book material. Foreign countries include Austria, China, Egypt, France and Colonies, Germany with a selection of WWII Occupation Issues, as well as WWI covers from POW Camps, including Japan. Great Britain and British Commonwealth feature high values from Australia, BNA and British Africa. 1858 20k blue & orange, thin paper, tied by "22" in circle of dots on envelope to Moscow, with unframed straight line "Kishinev" pre-philatelic departure handstamp and boxed "Polucheno 11 September 1858" arrival datestamp on back, wax seal removed, with filing fold away from the stamp, which is slightly rubbed at top, cover has been cleaned with remaining stain at upper right, fine and rare number three on cover from Kishinev to Moscow, ex-Frederick Small collection,
