Welcome to our July 12-14, 2022 Sale of Rare Stamps and Postal History of the World, which will take place at our Teaneck, N.J. Galleries and over the internet via CherrystoneLIVE and StampAuctionNetwork (SAN). This 1,713-lot sale features United States and Possessions, with 19th & 20th Century single rarities, 1869 Inverted Centers, Special Printings, graded items, Plate Blocks and back of the book material. Foreign countries include Austria, China, Egypt, France and Colonies, Germany with a selection of WWII Occupation Issues, as well as WWI covers from POW Camps, including Japan. Great Britain and British Commonwealth feature high values from Australia, BNA and British Africa. There are rarities from Iran, including postal history, Italy and Italian Colonies, Nepal, Netherlands and Colonies, Panama, Russia and other collecting areas. The auction concludes with over two hundred Large Lots and Collections, ranging from single country albums, specialized collections to multi-carton worldwide groups and large cover lots offered intact.

LARGE LOTS AND COLLECTIONS POLAND Revenue Stamps
1915-44 The Dr. Edwin J. Andrews award-winning collection comprising of 1,000+ stamps and 200+ documents, written-up exhibition style on pages, in six custom binders, covering Austrian and Prussian Occupation issues, provisional Northern, Southern, Eastern Poland, Poznan, Second Republic, Silesia National Insurance, Upper Silesia, 1920-23 Second Republic issues 1920-23, General Duty Stamps, "Podatek od Oboju" (Abattoir tax stamps), "Przewozowego" (bill of lading), "Statystyczna" (statistics for Foreign Trade Documents), "Zlota I Srebra" (gold and silver), "Weksel Gieldowy" (Bill of Exchange), others include Court Delivery, Judicial Fee, Notary, Passport, Consular, Unemployment, etc., also WWII German Occupation, plus Charity related labels, Relief for the Poor, Unemployment surtax, plus others. An important collection of Polish Revenues, mostly fine or better. Part of the collection was in 1919 (Polonus Grand Award at Chicago). It has also been the basis of research which produced 10 articles in "Polonus", "Ukrainian Philatelic & Numismatic Society" and "American Revenuer" journals. There are new discoveries, additions and corrections that have been submitted to the Barefoot Poland Revenue catalogue. In addition, there is an instructions page regarding how material is mounted.
