AUSTRIA AUSTRIAN LEVANT
1867 10kr dark blue (Austria) Coarse Print, used in combination with Austrian Levant 2sld orange and 3sld green (slightly overlapped), on outer FL from Constantinople to Vienna, with oval merchant's cachet, endorsed "Franco", sent via Varna, where the stamps were added and tied by framed "Lettere Arivate per Mare VARNA" (7.10.71) datestamps, with 14.10.71 Vienna arrival pmk, minor filing fold and paper discoloration left of the 3sld adhesive, completely of no importance and mentioned for accuracy's sake only. A fine and truly remarkable mixed currency and franking combination Austria+Austrian Levant (Kronen/Soldi), with 2005 Dr.Ferchenbauer certificate (ex-Arthur Linz collection, sold in 1961. This rarity is illustrated in "Osterreich-Ungarn, 125 Jahre Ausgabe 1867", Puschmann, Konig and Schindler, Wien 1892, page 187)
