CHINA Japanese Occupation of China - Hwailai
1941 cover with label "Abbaye de N-D de la Consolation Yangkiap'ing, Wailai (Tchagar), Chine", dated 30.8.29 = 29.8.41, sent via Tientsin to German Occupied Belgium, addressed to Saint-Sixtus Abbey of Westvleteren (which belongs to the Cistercians of Strict Observance, or Trappists, a Roman Catholic abbey located in Westvleteren, in the Belgian Province of West Flanders), stamps removed by censor, with handstamped "Ohne Marke Eingegangen A.B.P. Post" (arrived without stamps, Foreign Letter Censor Department), further opened by "Oberkomando der Wehrmacht" censor, with additional red handstamps (all this for a letter from an Abbey in Japanese Occupied China to a Reverend father in German Occupied Belgium)
