ITALY ITALIAN OFFICES ABROAD - GENERAL ISSUE (Estero)
1877 (30 Mar) registered cover from the Italian Post Office in Tunis to Oldenburg, franked with "Estero" overprinted Italian 1c, 2c, 30c, 40c, 60c and 2L (Sass.1,2,6-9), tied by barred "235" numeral postmarks, with "Tunisi Poste Italiane" departure cds below, Registry label at right, additional departure, Rome transit and Oldenburg (5.4.77) arrival markings on back, first and last adhesives with minor flaws, still an extraordinary and outstanding rarity from Italian Offices abroad (Tunisia), signed Bolaffi, with "Ad Honorem" 1985 certificate, also signed Diena and Colla, with 1985 and 2001 certificates (the largest polychrome franking with Offices Abroad). A splendid six-color showpiece
