1920 correspondence to Lemberg, later Lwow, addressed to the Metropolitan Andrzej Szeptycki (The Servant of God, Metropolitan Archbishop Andrey Szeptycki (1865-1944) was the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church from 1901 until his death in 1944. During his tenure, he led the Church through two world wars and seven political regimes: Austrian, Russian, Soviet, Polish, Soviet, General Government (Nazi), and again Soviet. Metropolitan Szeptycki was one of the most influential figures in the history of the Ukrainian Church in the twentieth century.
