1919 (5 July) picture postcard Wuespensky Church), endorsed "Sailor's Mail", addressed to Monroe, NY, with U.S. Navy July 5 1920 pmk, from "U.S.S. Albany" datelined at top, the writer notes "150 men from this ship went out after Bolsheviks last Tuesday", fine and rare reference to the landing of U.S. Marines in Siberia (from the deck log of U.S.S. Albany (National Archives - WWI Naval Records) "140 U.S. Marines in on July 1 Tuesday in Shkotava") (U.S.S. Albany was eventually stationed in Vladivostok from 19 December 1919 to 28 April 1920)
