ALLIED INTERVENTION IN RUSSIA - SIBERIA United States forces in Siberia
1918 (11 Oct) picture postcard from Manchuria to USA, franked with imperforate 5k and 15k Imperial Arms, written by a member of the U.S. Russian Railway Service Corps, with Manchuria departure cds and violet "Passed by Censor 1479" applied in San Francisco. The U.S. government considered the members of the R.R.S.C. as civilian railway workers, so the free-franking privilege was not allowed. They used either the Russian Postal system or the U.S. Postal Service Siberia
