The sale contains 940 lots of Rare Stamps and Postal History of the World, with extensive United States, European countries, including Austria, France and Colonies, German Area, Hungary, Italy and Colonies, Switzerland and other areas. Great Britain and British Commonwealth feature many high values and sets covering all reigns. This sale concludes with a good selection of large lots and collections, which range from single country albums to specialized collections and multi-carton worldwide stocks and cover lots. Please note our usual catalogues have not been printed for this sale, due to the current unreliability of the postal service (we hope to resume printing catalogues for the future auctions)

United States 1869 Pictorials
1869 24c green & violet, Center Inverted, deep rich colors and detailed impressions, bright paper, rosette cancel leaves vignette clearly visible, well centered and fresh, Signed HFC (Colman), with a tiny trivial corner crease at bottom right, not mentioned on absolutely clear 2011 and 2018 PSE certificates. A v.f. example of this rare invert, with the majority of copies having some degree of faults, not to mention poor centering. Siegel census contains four unused, 83 used singles, one used pair, one on cover and the unique block of four, for a total of 94 copies of the perforated 24c Invert. Of these, only five qualify as "centered" and of these four are either reperforated or have margins added. This stamp, ex-Seymour and Ishikawa is sound and well centered, ex-Seymour and Ishikawa (Scott catalogue value is for "fine centered examples with only minimal faults)
