1862 (ca) incoming cover from New York, franked with vertical pair of 10c green, paying double rate (10c per 1/2 oz), taxed "4" (reales) in black (as per convention with the United States of 1.9.1862), fine (most of the early existing covers from the United States to Guatemala are from the correspondence (usually stampless letters) of Elisha Oscar Crosby, who was the first U.S. Minister to Guatemala from May 1861 to June 1864)
