PALESTINE Air Mail History of the Holyland Flight Covers
1933 (11 Mar) stationery card from Jerusalem to Budapest, carried on the first Hungarian Mediterranean Circular flight, stage Gaza to Budapest, arrived with Plane Gerle March 24, 1933 cachet, autographed by the pilots Tibor Bisitz and Anthony Banhidy. As the prepared return cards did not arrive in time for the flight from Jerusalem, Tibor Bisitz (pilot) addressed three cards to himself in Budapest, had them canceled at the post office and carried them on the flight. This is the only card available (the others are in the postal museums in Budapest and Tel Aviv)
