PALESTINE Air Mail History of the Holyland Flight Covers
1917 (22 Aug) picture postcard (Galilee) to Germany, with Feldpost Mil.Miss. Jerusalem and violet "Kgl Preussische Feld-Flieger Abteilung 200" (Imperial Prussian Field Flying Corps 200) cachet at left, fine. The headquarters of the Imperial German Flying Corps 200 (better known as "Pascha 200") was relocated from Bir es Sheba to Jerusalem on July 11, 1917. Fourteen planes served in this division and mail from Air Force units were taken to Constantinople in diplomatic pouches and forwarded to the marine post offices in Berlin
