PALESTINE 1929 Orient Flight drop mail Zeppelin Flights
1929 card addressed to Vienna, with five-line "Im Luftschiff L.Z.127 Graf Zeppelin" (from Munich to Friedrichshafen) cachet, franked with 10pf Eagle, canceled "Wollmetshofen 1 Apr 29", with message on back stating that "the airship coming from Munich flew over our village Wollmetshofen and continued in a westerly direction to Krumbach. It flew very low because of heavy fog. The mailbag was found the next day". This private drop card was tossed out by a crew member Thassler, addressed to Georg Sobetzky. A unique item, with 1987 Sieger certificate (Si.23i, €2,750)
