In 1948 it became the Israeli Air Force's Hatzor Airbase) paying 3 1/2 pence (British adhesives), canceled "Poczta Polowa 111", "Passed by Censor" handstamps (one "Deputy Chief Field censor"), also "Base Censor" label, two different "Not Examined by Soviet Anglo Persian Censor" (one in Russian), addressed to the Polish Embassy in Kuybyshev, transit markings on back include Indian Section Base Post Office (24 May), F.P.O. No.103 (India 7 June) and Kuybyshev arrival (3 July), rare usage

1942 (16 June) registered cover from Palestine paying 15m (Palestine Mandate adhesive), canceled "Poczta Polowa 101", "Passed by Censor No.808" handstamp, also "Examined by Base Censor" label, Deputy Chief Censor handstamp applied in Egypt, boxed "Not Examined by Soviet Anglo Persian Censor" in Russian, addressed to the Polish Embassy in Kuybyshev, transit markings on back include Indian Section Base Post Office, F.P.O. No.164, also Moscow and Kuybyshev arrival (6.8.42). Polish Forces in Russia and in Egypt were evacuated at the same time to Quastina (Negev) and occupied a former Austrian military camp there, very rare usage from Palestine, via Egypt and India

A rare card, military mail with Palestine franking is virtually unknown

1942-46 balance of the collection of 80+ covers, each mounted and expertly written-up, used by the Polish forces in Palestine to different destinations, many to Polish Delegation in Nairobi, some to England and United States (censored cover franked with 2sh6p George V adhesive, tied by Field Post Office 122 cancel, sent from Jerusalem), also to Russia, incoming mail, "On Active Service" envelope from Monte Casino ("Poczta Polowa 48") to Rehovot, others from Mexico and USA to Polish Forces Middle East, variety of censor markings, many registered and flown covers from different Field Post Offices and origins, apparently 2-3 known, Camp Hill, Mughazi, Julis, Lydda, Rehovot, Yavne, El Kantara, also incoming mail, plus much more. A fascinating group of considerable interest to collectors of Polish and Palestine military mail during World War II
