1931 (10 Apr) Egypt Flight card from Alexandria to Jerusalem, with 7 May arrival pmk, v.f. On the return trip from Palestine to Germany, L.Z.127 Graf Zeppelin, landed in Cairo and remained there for only 30 minutes. There was not enough time to unload all the mail and some pieces were taken back to Germany. This card was sent from Germany by train to Trieste and from there by boat to Haifa, finally arriving in Jerusalem on May 7th, 1931. Only a few pieces recorded

1931 L.Z. 127 Graf Zeppelin Airship 9-13, 1931 "Palestine Round Trip", Port Said-Jerusalem, Ministry of Communication cover (legal size) franked with 100m on 27m and tied by 10 Apr 31 Port Said Graf Zeppelin cds, repeated alongside, with commemorative Egypt Flight cachet and Jerusalem 13 April 31 arrival pmk, v.f. Egyptian mail from Port Said was loaded aboard the airship at the time of the first landing, taken on the flight over Palestine and then off-loaded in Cairo for delivery by surface mail. A rare cover, prepared for Egypt's Minister of Posts and later ex-King Farouk (illustrated on page 45 of "The Egypt Flight L.Z. 127 Graf Zeppelin" by Fred H. Blau and Cyril Deighton, 1981) (the second flight (after the 1929 Orient Flight) to the Middle East took place in 1931, beginning on 9 April. Graf Zeppelin crossed the Mediterranean to Benghazi in Libya, then flew via Alexandria, to Cairo in Egypt, where it saluted King Fuad at the Qubbah Palace, then visited the Great Pyramid of Giza and hovered 70 feet above the top of the monument. After a brief stop, the ship flew to Palestine where it circled Jerusalem, then returned to Cairo to pick up Dr.Eckener, who had stayed for an audience with the King. It returned to Friedrichshafen on 13 April)
