Only 46 (!) stamps received this surcharge and were affixed on stationery cards; some were used, others were generally removed from cards. A significantly undercatalogued rarity, illustrated on page 82 in "Batum under British Occupation the years 1917-1921" by H.G. Grigoleit & E. Klempka (SG P1, £12,000 for unused stamp off card)
