 | Lot #1166 LARGE LOTS AND COLLECTIONS UNITED STATES Revenue Stamps 1857-66 California State Revenue Documentary Stamps, collection of 23 mostly different imperforate mint sheetlets of four, with both Bill of Lading and Marine Insurance issues, denominations up to $50,000(!), with controller's surcharges, also additional 111 sheets and 29 singles without the controller's marks (found in the state archives), with some unlisted varieties, many unique, with invoices from Phil Ward showing that the owner paid $50-$200 per sheet in 1960.
