1872 1/4gr Small Shield used in combination with 2gr and 5gr Large Shield on 1873 cover from Dresden to Calcutta, East Indies, all tied by departure datestamps, with boxed "PD" and manuscript "70" in blue crayon, Verona and Brindisi transits, Sea Post Office sorting hs and arrival pmks. Addressed to the Lt. Governor of Bengal, this is a most attractive three color mixed franking to an unusual destination, small cover repair on back, nevertheless v.f., signed Dr.Sommer, BPP
