BRITISH COMMONWEALTH CANADIAN PROVINCES - New Brunswick
1851 6p yellow, horizontal pair, margins all around, showing small part of adjoining stamp at right, tied by "27" grill cancels on registered letter form to Boston, with blue New Brunswick handstamp, with St. Andrews (January 11, 1855) departure on reverse, fine and rare, only six 1/2oz registered letter rates to the US are recorded (including three with this franking), this being the only registered form known, bearing stamps (the form was used for the forwarding of registered letters and postmasters were required to keep these forms as proof of delivery, which is especially rare since this left the country), with 1990 Vincent Greene certificate, ex-Saint and Wilkinson collections
