1868 (14 July) large home-made envelope addressed to Halle, franked on back with two horizontal strips of 3x10sg rose, used in combination with single 5sgr North German Confederation, all tied by Gilgenburg 14.7.68 cds, stamps are in remarkable state of preservation for this extremely difficult goldbeater's skin paper, margins all around, except just in at right of the bottom strip, usual minor cracks, five intact wax seals and arrival pmk, filing fold away from the stamps, signed Dr.Pirl and Kohler. Scott's notes "perfect examples of No.21 are extremely rare" (Mi.20,catalogued as two used (and somewhat defective) strips of three, without premium for usage on cover)
