1857 4p dull rose, a remarkable upper right sheet corner margin horizontal pair, showing portion of adjoining stamp at left, unused with full original gum, light ironed-out horizontal crease, beautiful color, v.f. A rare and spectacular, largest recorded multiple (Geoff Mellow on page 114 states that the only recorded unused multiple of any Star Watermark 4d is a strip of three in dull rose. This is the same item, with the once defective portion excised at left), ex-JRW Purves, Rodney Perry, with his 2006 certificate (last realized AUS $2,500 hammer at 2014 Prestige Auction)
