| Lot #534 GUATEMALA 1881 The UPU Quetzal Issue, 5c Small Quetzal, tied to mourning cover to Guatemala City by large "6" numeral in oval, supported by corresponding QUETZALTENANGO 17 Jan 1882 departure datestamp alongside (this datestamp was used from 1875 to 1882. It clearly deteriorated and as in the case of this cover, was serving the last few days in the postal service before being replaced by a new postmark in February 1882), fine and rare usage, one of only two known UPU Quetzal covers canceled with Large Numeral, also the earliest use of the 5 Cents value Catalog #23 | Unsold
