1789 entire FL addressed to Reval (present-day Tallinn), with an excellent strike of MITAU, crown at top and Posthorns at bottom, straight-line Riga alongside, fine usage from Mitawa (present-day Jelgawa in Latvia) (Mitau became a town of the Duchy of Courland in 1561 and became the capital of the united duchies of Courland and Semigallia. Because the duchy became a vassal of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Mitau was also referred to by the Polish name Mitawa)
