1859 Sardinia, 10c violet brown, imperforate single, three margins, just in at left, with scissor cut at bottom, tied on small FL by "LONATO 30 LUG" datestamp (Austrian origin), addressed to Milano, with boxed "P.L. I. D." (Porto Lettere I Distribuzione) on back, also "4" rate mark, signed Sismondo, with his 2009 certificate (The town of Lonato was liberated from Austrian rule by Piedmontese troops in 1859 and stamps of Sardinia remained in use only for a short period of time. There were no Italian cancels available during this provisional period) (Sass. C2, €6,750)
