 | Lot #194 AUSTRIA Lombardy Venetia Revenue Stamps 1856 Fiscal stamps used as postage, 15c black & green (typographed) tied by framed two-line "Riva Vapore" departure and "Peschiera 24/2" transit pmk alongside, addressed to Desenzano, with unclear, presumably arrival cancel on back. The payment of 15 centesimi was for the internal postage rate in Lombardy-Venetia at that time. This cover was carried by steamer from Riva (the northern end of Lago di Garda) to the southern end in Desenzano.
